The Crystal Lake Public Library provides school services to elementary, middle and high schools located within the city of Crystal Lake. We are here to help you and your students!
School Library Cards
Use a school library card to get materials and resources to support classroom learning. Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 schools have access through school access cards. Other schools can sign up for a special school library card.
School Collections Requests
Fill out this form to request materials to use in your classroom or request multiple copies of the same book for book clubs (D47, grades K-8).
Online Resources
Share online resources with students for research and to get homework help. Add the North Suburban Digital Consortium to SORA to access more eBooks and audiobooks.
Classroom Visits, Field Trips and School Nights
Fill out this form to request a visit to your classroom or plan a field trip to the library. Visits can include story times, read-alouds, book talks or library resource instruction. Field trips can include a tour and a program or activity. Library staff are also available for after school clubs, family nights, open houses and more.
Reading Programs
Promote participation in library summer and winter reading programs.
Illinois Talking Book and Braille Program
Staff can provide referrals for students for audio or braille library service through mail or digital download if they have any barriers that prevent them from interacting with traditional books.
